And yes I would recommend but let me warn you. It is not for the weak.  

You must have the energy to go on for hours without stopping, the creativity to entertain every single person in different ways than the last monster they just saw, willingness to learn and adapt to your environment (learning to brake when sprinting is probably the most important and underrated skill out there) and have the patience of a monk or saint, you will get punched, kicked, shoved, groped, tackled, headbutted, grabbed and everything else in between, people do stupid things when scared, their brain just turns off and reacts (or sometimes they are just horrible people that no one would miss if I took them into the shadows never to return but anyway…) and you can’t do a thing. That’s not counting the verbal abuse as well. 

Anyone can scare. We all do it to our friends all the time, waiting outside the bathroom for them. Jumping out and startling. It’s easy. 

But this kind of fear is not for everyone. 

If a 5”6 girl  (me) can stare down a 6”0 man and make him feel so uncomfortable he walks faster and grabs his girlfriend and turns her into his personal meat shield.

Well that’s a little different than jumping out in front of someone and screaming “BOO” isn’t it? 

(Granted every haunted attraction is very different but this applies to the general hardcore haunt.)

In our new maze “Trick or Treat” (where Ellen sent her poor writer through)

There is a room, which wasn’t shown sadly, where the Green Witch is on a lift and “flies” over the crowd and has a small speech/spell.

My little sister is the local pink fairy girl in that maze, she is a like a little troll, running around and messing with the guests and can go in any room she wants.

Like a good dork, I asked her to go into that room and sing “Defying Gravity” from the musical Wicked, while the Green Witch was “flying”.

My sister came back to me that night, retelling the what happened like so. 

Me: So did you do it?!

Chizu: OH MYGOD YES. I went into the room and said “I’M DEFFYYYING GRAVITY!!!”  and freaking she looked at me, raised the lift up high and finished the song!
“AND NOBODY IN ALL OF OZ, NO WIZARD THAT THERE IS OR WAS IS EVER GONNA BRING MEEEEEEEEEEE DOOOOWWWN!!!!“ 

I wasn’t even there. My sister just told me the story and I fell over in a puddle over in a fangirly mess.

I finally got a decent picture of me. 
Yeah it’s not as cool as last year but I’ve got a lot of positive (and by positive I mean the guests are creeped the fuck out) response about the mask so I’ll take it.
I’m in the Tattoo parlor, thus the sleeve and bandana to hide my hair since I’m suppose to be a dude.
